Bridgina Molloy interview

AUTHOR INTERVIEW

A little introduction:

Hi there, my name is Bridgina Molloy and I am a writer of Fantasy Novels for grownups. I have just released my first novel Sorceress (2nd edition, was known as Sorcery) on Amazon as an eBook and a Paperback novel. I am 50+, Irish and live up the side of a mountain in County Clare, Ireland with my wife Triona and two Lapso Apso dogs called Diablo and Freya, as well as one smelly ancient cat called Diana.

When did your love of books begin?

I have loved books for a very long time. One of my earliest memories is of being in a library not far from our house in Belfast, looking at book covers while my dad, also an avid reader searched through the westerns for ones he hadn’t read yet.

When did you start to have the wish to become an author?

I wrote my first story as a child in Infants class,  a little story about visiting the grave site of my deceased younger brother. In my minds eye the story is vivid, to my teacher it was cause to have my mom come to the school to ask if everything was alright. My work has always had a darker side.

How have you found the process for becoming an author?

The process of writing and getting published (self), has taken me a very long time as I had little confidence in myself or my ability to write. For me it’s been an uphill struggle, but I’ve never given up, and my circle has lots of people in it that are actually happy for me to succeed. Also, I think if you are going to take the work you are doing seriously, then you need to have a better belief in yourself. I have been at this thing since I learned to write and only now in my mid to late 50s publishing a book that I am extremely happy with.

What would you say to those wanting to become an author?

Edit your work, don’t be afraid to delete things or change them around and have faith, you got this.

Tell us about your book/books:

Sorceress: A Cross Dimensional Guardians Novel is the start of a series of books that I am writing at the moment (actually editing book 2 ‘Enhanced’ right now). Sorceress is about an agent for the Cross Dimensional Guardians (C.D.G. ) who is on her last mission to prevent her stepsister Reigh from using her own grandson Detective Jasper Magus as a host body on her way to becoming a Goddess. Blythe goes up against a deowitch, several demons and is wanted for questioning by the queens of hades regarding her treatment of said demons.

What do you love about the writing/reading community?

I love the support of the writers and readers in the community, a great many authors and writers seem to be only too willing to share information and help each other up. It’s a wonderful thing to see happen.

If you could say anything to your readers what would it be?

Oh my, well I’d say that I really hoped that they enjoyed reading the novel as much as I enjoyed writing it. That it allowed them to suspend the world around them while they entered the one I had created. I’d also say that I hoped there weren’t too many errors, as a new writer I’ve had to do a lot of the editing, proofing, and cover creation myself as money is tight.

Where can people connect with you?

Anyone of the four methods below would be great. Thank so much for the opportunity to talk to the writers and readers of Feed My Reads, it’s been fun.
