AUTHOR INTERVIEW A little introduction: Stewart Bint (66), who is married with two grown-up children, has been a writer all his working life, initially as a journalist and broadcaster before moving into Public Relations, and later becoming a novelist. Now semi-retired, he is working on his next novel and writes a monthly column for a local magazine in his home county of Leicestershire in the UK. He usually walks barefoot. When did your love of books begin? As a young child. My parents instilled the virtues of reading into me, and I immediately fell in love with the magical worlds contained within the pages. When did you start to have the wish to become an author? I started to create my own worlds and characters when I was eight, writing my stories in little blue notebooks until my parents bought me my first typewriter for my ninth birthday. AUTHOR INTERVIEW When did your love of books begin? My love of books/reading began when I was five years old. I read comics like the Beano, Whizzer and Chips, Dandy & Scorcher. From around 7/8 I was reading fiction like Treasure Island and Huckleberry Finn. When did you start to have the wish to become an author? I first imagined becoming an author when I was eighteen after reading CLR James The Black Jacobins. How have you found the process for becoming an author? It took me several years trying to publish my first novel, Brixton Rock. I had over 30 rejections from literary agencies and publishers. What would you say to those wanting to become an author? I would say to any aspiring author to keep believing and persevere. Tell us about your book/books: My fiction, especially my early work, is based on many of the lived experiences of myself, friends and people I have encountered in my life. I like to call myself a social realist writer, concentrating on the working class narrative.

AUTHOR INTERVIEW A little introduction: Hello!  I am Ryan Cipriani, and while my hobby is manically writing everything busting to get out of my head, I like to think of myself first and foremost as a storyteller.  To date I have self-published 4 novels in the saga of my sarcastic fantasy hero, Krög, the Battle Prince, with four more manuscripts for further adventures to come out eventually!  I also keep busy writing speculative fiction short stories, and recently completed manuscripts for two other novels- a sci-fi horror, and a music-inspired fantasy.  Most recently I have been working on a series of motivational articles meant to inspire writers to do exactly that: write.  Just.  Write.  Prior to getting into writing as my full-time passion, I was a heavy metal guitar player for a number of bands in Orlando and Los Angeles.  If I'm not pouring over a manuscript, I'm probably either playing retro video games, chess, or brainstorming with my girlfriend about what kind of mad ad
