AUTHOR INTERVIEW   A little introduction:  I am a 27 year old woman from the idyllic west coast of Scotland. Like most new writers, I have a day job and often describe myself as a ‘weary teacher by day and a witty writer by night’. Being a busy teacher and writer means I must be strict with my goals. A very powerful quote from author Anne Tyler states: “If I waited until I felt like writing, I’d never write at all.” Although we may not want this to be true, it is. As writers, we want our writing to be an art where we pick up the paintbrush whenever inspiration strikes. The reality is, that if we don’t just  write  then nothing would get written at all. I can stare at my screen for an eternity waiting for that perfect “A-HA” moment, but despite how I feel, I know that if I just type and write, it will flow. When did your love of books begin? My love for books started when I was old enough to read. When did you start to have the wish to become an author? As a teen I wanted to become an Author. AUTHOR INTERVIEW A little introduction:  Horace Crenshaw, Jr. Is the author of two books, Blowing Sandstorm and Hap: The Prize Winning Horse. He received his B.S. Degree in Political Science in 1994 from Tuskegee University. He went on to receive a M.A. Degree in International Relations from Webster University in 1999 and a Master Certificate in Project Management from The George Washington University. Hello to everyone reading this and just to say a massive thank you for taking time time out to do so. If you have been part of the Feed My Reads community you may notice we do things a little bit differently and this is yet another example of this. If you are part of our community then you love books and so in an ideal world we would have every single book you read be reviewed but we all realise this is not an ideal world that we live in and so things like mental health, confidence in your own reviewing abilities, etc all cause those reviews to not be posted and so readers not hear your opinions and authors also not get the praise that they deserve.  Once again we tried to think outside of the box in how to make it easier for you to leave your feelings about the books you're reading even if you are not able for any reason to review (even if it maybe that you are going to review a little later).   AUTHOR INTERVIEW A little introduction: Meh - my least favourite subject … Born in Australia to Dutch parents, but they divorced when I was about five, so moved around a hell of a lot. (If you think you need to have a solid education to write and publish books, you’d be wrong.) Needless to say I ended my school years when I joined the Royal Australian Navy. The first time was a short stint, but thirteen years later I rejoined the Navy, and completed almost 20 years before I finally left. In a nutshell, the Navy was the best of times, and the worst of times. And I recommend it to anyone - unless you want to be a writer. :) I'm a reluctant runner, meaning I can do it, but why would you if you didn’t have to? And yes, I did a lot of running in the Navy. However, I hate being a commuter on public transport more. If it’s a choice between sitting on a tram or train (I don’t do buses), I’ll jog to work .. before I retired that is. And … I will run for charity; in 2017 I ran solo 3,400km

Married with two grown up daughters by marriage and five grandchildren with another one on the way. All things being well!
