Hi all and thank you for checking out this blog post. You may have noticed that we have been a little bit quiet of late but there has been a valid reason for this.  I appreciate it seems a long way off at the moment but we have been working hard behind the scenes to bring our first Feed My Reads Facebook event and I'm pleased to say we've now scheduled this for Friday 4th of February 2022 starting at 5pm UK time and is scheduled to last until midnight UK time on Sunday the 13th of February 2022 (if it needs to be extended then we will do this but this is the current expectation). The way this will work is as follows: 1 - We have put together an online calendar for authors, book bloggers, publishers and more to use to sign-up to host time on the event. 2 - Those hosting on the event will be in charge of the posts to the event page and will be able to tell you about their work, interact with those taking part in the event, etc. 3 - We create an event which is positive, supportive...

What made you fall in love with books? The ability to get lost into letters, words and different worlds. To experience new adventures and get to know new people who sadly don’t exist physically but always in a reader’s heart, were my main reasons for falling in love with books.  Which genres do you prefer to read? As long as the plot and the characters are interesting, I can read every genre. Although I feel the need to specify that my go-to genres are romance, fantasy, fiction and mystery.  What are your favourite books you've read so far and why? I have read so many books this year and I’m glad to say that the majority of them were excellent ones. Having to decide on only one, it would be “It Ends With Us” by Colleen Hoover. A little introduction: Hi my names Kath, I'm a bookseller at Rossiter Books which is an independent family run bookshop with shops in Monmouth, Ross-on-Wye and Leominster. I have always loved reading so working in a bookshop is kinda the dream job! What made you fall in love with books? I have always loved books but always found it hard to focus. Which genres do you prefer to read? I am Reading Stephen King The Writer. What made you decide to become a part of our little book based community? I love writing. It is a great way to express emotions, expand my imagination and bring me to the present moment.   What finds me here is I am planning to write my own book. A little introduction: Hi, my name is Rohan. As soon as I could read, I wanted to become an author. But when I started school, I was told I wasn't any good at writing. It would be years later when I found out I was dyslexic. So, I gave up on my dream and started a twenty five year career as a chef. A little introduction: Hi, I’m Joe Fullerton. I’m a retired lawyer and a Dad. I am very proud of the fact that I brought up my son on my own. For the last six years or so, I have filled my life with reading and helping to run my book club, Gloucester Book Club.   Hello,   my name is Christina Young and I’m th e founder and organiser of Gloucester Book Club.   I’ve   always loved reading. I’d spend hours as a child curled up in an armchair with adventure stories, ignoring everything going on around me in my fervour to get to the end of a book. Book groups looked like fun and a great place to meet a few new friends, whilst sharing my love of books.   My frustration at not finding one in my local area, grew to the point where I took matters into my own hands and Gloucester Book Club was born in January 2014.   It turned out I wasn’t the only one looking for a book group, and members quickly grew so large that one meeting a month was no longer enough to satisfy the appetites of Gloucestershire readers.   We have over 60 members and schedule 5 meetings a month to cater for our numbers.   We’ve made some great friends, with the social aspect being one of the most important opportunities a book club offers. ...

A little introduction: I am a teacher from Essex. Originally, I taught Religious Education but have recently started teaching English which I am loving. It is great to share my love of books and creative writing with young people. I, fortunately, work part-time which allows me more time for writing and reading.
