Achievement badges

Hello to all of you wonderful people reading this post.

Do you remember when you used to get achievement badges for things?  Scouts for different things, Brownies for different things, swimming badges for different strokes or distances, etc.  Remember how proud you felt when you got them?  Why did that have to stop?  Well, we've decided it needn't stop and so we're delighted to announce a range of badges to reward your achievements.


What are the badges for?  Great question!

First of all, we have the badge for being a part of the Feed My Reads community as per below and this is just because you are all amazing members of the community we have put together.




We now also have badges for the below - 

  • Take part in our #communityreads. 
  • Leave a book review over at our FeedMyReadsRVWS Twitter account and also tag the main Feed My Reads account too (there will be badges for your first review, fifth, tenth, twenty fifth, fiftieth, seventy fifth, one hundredth, one hundred and fiftieth, two hundredth, two hundred and fiftieth, five hundredth reviews).
  • Take part in the Read Your Height challenge (badges for taking part, reaching one foot, two feet, three feet, four feet, five feet, six feet, seven feet, eight feet, nine feet, ten feet, achieved my height).  We will count ebook short stories as one cm and standard books in ebook format as one inch.
  • Brilliant Bookmark - share a picture of your bookmark to us using #brilliantbookmark. 
  • My Writing/Reading space - share a picture of your writing or reading space with either #myreadingspace or #mywritingspace. 
  • My bookish life - a picture of your bookshelf, book area, ereader, etc with #mybookishlife. 
  • Star Award nominee - if someone in the #feedmyreadscommunity sends a nomination with #starawardsnominee and why you should get a star award you'll be eligible for this badge.
  • Star Award winner - if someone in the #feedmyreadscommunity sends a nomination with #starawardsnominee and why you should get a star award you might just get this one.
  • Blog Contributor - if you've contributed to our blog then you will receive this badge.
  • Tried a New Author - if you try an author you've not read before then you can get this badge.  Post to us with #ITriedANewAuthor and tag them.
  • Tried a New Genre - if you try a brand new genre from what you've read before then you'll get this badge.  Post to us with #TriedANewGenre & tell us which plus how you got on.
  • Tried an Indy Author - if you read an independent author then you can get this badge.  Post to us with #ITriedAnIndyAuthor and tag them in the post.
  • Welcoming My Writing/Reading Pet to the community - post a picture of you pet to us with either #readingpet or #writingpet along with #feedmyreadscommunity for this badge.


There may eventually be more but this is a huge undertaking so will take time to perfect.
