My Ideal Holiday - Ceri from Read And Review It

First of all where are you going?   Paris! I know it’s a bit of a cliche, but I’d really love to visit… I actually have a whole Paris themed bedroom, despite having never been there before! Are you going on your own or taking people along (if you're taking people then who are you taking)? Taking my boyfriend! We haven’t been able to go away yet but I’d love to go on holiday with him. How are you getting there? Either the eurostar or the plane. Whichever’s cheapest! What 5 books are you taking with you? You’ve Reached Sam, Blood Stew, To Kill A Kingdom, The Ivies and Better Than The Movies. I can’t leave behind my current read (You’ve Reached Sam), and I’m super excited to get into the others! You've arrived, do you unpack straight away or are you going to leave it until later? We’ll take out the essentials, but leave the rest until later. We’ve got a whole city to explore, after all! What are you going to do during your holiday? Visit the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, Montmartre, N...

First of all where are you going?   Wengen in Switzerland. We will be going in the winter months to ski. We have been there before walking in the summer and we are desperate to visit again. Are you going on your own or taking people along (if you're taking people then who are you taking)? I would go with my husband Alan and persuade our two daughters and their partners to join us. If we mention skiing, they will be there!    How are you getting there? I would definitely prefer to go by car as the drive through Germany and into the Alps is beautiful. The reality will be that we would probably fly to Geneva and get the train to Wengen. Again another beautiful route and the trains in Switzerland are brilliant. What 5 books are you taking with you? As I don't ski but love the whole feeling of a ski holiday I always have a load of books on my kindle. So out of fairness, I will just include the last 5 books I downloaded: The Elizabeth Tudor Conspiracy - Alexandra Walsh Fir...

My Ideal Holiday - Adam T Best

First of all where are you going?   If money was no object. I would think it would be cool to have a small private family cruise around Alaska. Just my family, a captain, and a few ship crew members. Are you going on your own or taking people along (if you're taking people then who are you taking)? I would like to go with my wife and 2 kids. How are you getting there? Fly to Seattle, WA then get on the boat from there. What 5 books are you taking with you? Clown in a cornfield by Adam Cesare - I'm reading this right now. All that's left - out in the open by W. B. Gouge Heart-shaped Box by Joe Hill The Brew master’s table by Garrett Oliver. I'm a foodie and it's great reference. Complete tales by Edgar Allen Poe. You've arrived, do you unpack straight away or are you going to leave it until later? Unpack right away. That way you're ready to enjoy your trip. What are you going to do during your holiday? Sightseeing the beautiful Alaskan wilderness. Hopefully...

My Ideal Holiday - Vicky Ball

First of all where are you going?   I am longing for the hot weather right now so it's got to be somewhere hot with a pool. I'm thinking Italy as I've been there a few times before and it's gorgeous. By the sea, easily accessible to a nearby town.  Are you going on your own or taking people along (if you're taking people then who are you taking)? It's going to have to be a big villa as I'm taking lots of people. As well as my husband and two daughters, I am also taking my  friends Gemma, Louise, Gaby and their families. Our families get on great.  How are you getting there? I'd love to say for environmentally friendly reasons we'll hire a big van and drive over but I'm not sure I can stand to drive for that long. We might all fall out before we get there. So it's going to have to be airplane, quick and easy. What 5 books are you taking with you? I'm going to take some thriller books that I've been meaning to read but haven't had g...

First of all where are you going?   The Virgin Islands Are you going on your own or taking people along (if you're taking people then who are you taking)? I’ll take my best friend (name withheld for privacy) How are you getting there? We’ll fly. What 5 books are you taking with you? Honestly, I wouldn’t take any books because it would be a vacation away from work and a time to rest and reconnect without being distracted by a book waiting for me in my room. You've arrived, do you unpack straight away or are you going to leave it until later? Leave it until later. The beach is calling. What are you going to do during your holiday? Swim in the ocean, hang out on the beach, eat wonderful local food, and sight see. What memento do you bring back from your holiday? Since I’ve never been, I don’t know what all I’d bring back with me.

First of all where are you going?   I’ve always wanted to go to Canada and do a tour of the Rockies and surrounding areas. I know far too little about Canada as a country, I just know it’s somewhere that has been on my places I’d love to travel to list for as long as I can remember. So, there! Or Mexico where we went for our honeymoon and it was just beautiful. Are you going on your own or taking people along (if you're taking people then who are you taking)? I would take my husband and son (because it feels mean saying I’d go anywhere without them  😂 ). How are you getting there? Flying, of course  ✈️     I don’t mind flying. Plenty of time to read! What 5 books are you taking with you? Oooh wow, okay, let’s see... His Dark Materials by Philip Pullman (my favourite—can’t read it enough). Something horror, probably the latest Stephen King. A crime thriller because I like those between longer books, something along the lines of Broken Monsters by Lauren Beukes. ...
