Review:
When an author tries to be unique in their writing style it can sometimes work and sometimes doesn't but thankfully Adrian Zupp manages to be different whilst also having a style that works. The stories themselves are interesting but the thing that stands out about this book is the fact it is written in a style of someone who is telling you a story which makes it feel more intense. Imagine reading a police report about a traffic collision and then imagine the witness telling you about it...'the car was moving with excess speed and showing a lack of care' or 'they were speeding along without a care for anyone'...you can see which of these draws you in more and this is exactly what Adrian has done in his writing style, he has focused on how he tells the story rather than focusing on this being a police statement style facsimile of so many other books that are out there already.
I'll be honest and say this is a style that will be one people will love or hate but you'll only ever know if you give it a chance.
