Book interview - But It’s Okay If I Do It: True Confessions of an Unintentional A$$Hole by Shirley Laffa

Please tell us a little about the book

This short, humorous book contains my real-life blunders to entertain and educate readers on what NOT to do.

Where did the inspiration come from for your book?

Whenever I’d hear an interviewer ask a celebrity about their most embarrassing incident, I’d always think of how many I had to share. I started to write them all down so I wouldn’t forget!

How did you find the experience of writing this book?

Very cathartic. The book also deals with what many of us experience as excessively worrying about our mistakes, instead of focusing on learning valuable lessons, self-love and moving forward.

Did you draw any inspiration from any real life people with any of your characters?

Yes – it’s all about my life which has been pretty peculiar, much of the time.

If you could say anything to readers of this  book then what would it be?

I’m extremely grateful for your kindness in supporting a new author who has funny stories with an encouraging message to share.
