AUTHOR INTERVIEW


A little introduction:

My name is Theresa Lynn, and I am a children's book author, poet, and teacher. 


When did your love of books begin?

My love of books came when I was younger and enjoyed reading picture and chapter books. 


When did you start to have the wish to become an author?

I started to think about being a children's book author when I started my teaching career. I taught first graders and spent countless hours with my classes reading picture books. This inspired me to write my own picture books.


How have you found the process for becoming an author?

I started out taking a writing course with the Institute of Children’s Literature: Writing for Children and Teenagers. This allowed me to create many stories alongside a professional editor. This course taught me how to research publications, create query letters, and understand how to submit manuscripts.


What would you say to those wanting to become an author?

It is important to never give up. There are many new ways to publish a story so take time to look everywhere and you will find a place for your story.


Tell us about your book/books:

Let’s Tour the World: A Globe Adventure and Beyond the Clouds: A Space Adventure are adventure stories where characters go on a journey using their imagination when they hold a unique toy. 


What do you love about the writing/reading community?

I love being part of the writing/reading community because I can meet writers and enthusiastic readers with whom we can share our interests, ideas, and experiences. 


If you could say anything to your readers what would it be?

My stories reach ages 3 - 7, and I would let my young readers know that it is important to enjoy stories, use your imagination, and read every day. "Enjoy the adventures of reading, and have fun learning!"

Claude Bouchard interview

AUTHOR INTERVIEW A little introduction: I’m Claude Bouchard, born, raised, and still living in the Montreal (Canada) area. In a prior life, I worked in the corporate world, mainly in human resources management. In 2008, my employer moved our jobs to India and, while I pursued other employment, I published three books I had written long before then continued to write and publish more. Along the way, I realized I had a new job, that of author, and never looked back.  When did your love of books begin? While in kindergarten, my parents had signed me up for a book of the month thing and I remember the excitement whenever a new book showed up in the mail.
