Adhiti Aravind interview

AUTHOR INTERVIEW

A little introduction:

Adhiti Aravind is a Kerala-based Indian writer. She have an MA in English Literature. She began writing in 2010 on India Forums platform as a fan fiction writer. Almost a decade later, she launched her formal writing career as a self publishing author on Amazon Kindle.  She has published 7 books on Amazon, in romance and serious fiction genres.

When did your love of books begin?

During my teenage years, I started with thrillers and later advanced to serious fictions. Romantic books were a constant through it all. My education exposed me to classic, contemporary, Indian and western fiction increasing my love for reading.

When did you start to have the wish to become an author?

I was an avid storyteller during college days. My friends often told me that they could visualise the stories that I narrate. My sister urged me to channel that creativity into full fledged writing and introduced me to the Fanfiction world. It began as a hobby some years ago and in 2020 amidst the pandemic I started thinking about it seriously which resulted in me publishing my first book on Kindle platform. My mentor Madhuri Tamse is an important reason for that wish to materialise who got me accustomed to the self publishing option via Amazon Kindle.

How have you found the process for becoming an author?

Extremely challenging but invigorating. Writing has been a liberation for me. It helped me find my identity and purpose in life.

What would you say to those wanting to become an author?

Read people for quality content, research about the various marketing options and platforms available online for a better outreach.

Tell us about your book/books:

My books deal with characters that lead simple lives but get entangled in complicated emotions and situations. Romance is my primary genre, and I try to dive deep into the emotion of love in my writing. I have authored seven books – Journey to the Altar, Forever, Burning Hearts, You Are My Person, It Was Always You, Love Contract, Love Guaranteed.

What do you love about the writing/reading community?

The endless options, accessibility and receptive to talent.

If you could say anything to your readers what would it be?

Thank you for the love and great feedback. I love hearing that many people can relate to certain situations or lines in my books. That motivates me.
