Feather Chelle interview

AUTHOR INTERVIEW

When did your love of books begin?

I have loved books for as long as I can remember. My mom would tuck us in every night and read us a story. I would often convince her to read two or three, if I was really lucky.

When did you start to have the wish to become an author?

I started writing stories in first grade on my Grandma’s old typewriter. By fifth grade, I had printed two books of poetry to sell to my family and friends.

How have you found the process for becoming an author?

I find that writing comes very easily, but marketing is my Kryptonite.

What would you say to those wanting to become an author?

It is difficult to get started, but nothing is more rewarding than having someone truly appreciate your work. If you really enjoy it, never give up.

Tell us about your book/books:

I have published 7 books, have about ten books with illustrators, and am in the process of writing several more.

What do you love about the writing/reading community?

They have been very supportive and welcoming. I love reading and reviewing independent authors. I have found some real literary treasures within that community.

If you could say anything to your readers what would it be?

Learn something every day.
