Review:

Imagine on your 16th birthday that you discover you suddenly have a power you never knew of before, you have had your awakening.  Once you find your power it is important to be taught how to use your power properly and so you are sent to live in a school that can work with you to enable you to learn how to appreciate your power and develop your skills in utilising and controlling the power.  Welcome to Awakening by Adele Rose.

This is a book that has an interesting idea behind it and a story that works well but it is in a book landscape that has so many books written with magic and magical schools at the core of what they are all about and so it is a challenge for the book to standout from that crowd.  This book was one which I really did enjoy and reason for the score being a 3.5 star is that the editing needs so much work.  Where you have done so much work to have a story that makes sense, flows well and actually does feel like a quality piece of work but this simply makes those editing issues a bigger frustration and something that I'd love to see worked on.

Overall this is a book which I do think highly of and if you are someone who can look past the editing side of books then I would say this is well worth checking out still.
