Deleted Scenes - The Rise of the Omega Empress by Moeez Hatanian

Hi there, please introduce yourself and tell us which book we are talking about today.

Getting a book to fit the length it should be can be a challenge as you end up cutting things out so please do tell us about the books deleted scenes -

Originally the Second book was supposed to have been longer with slightly different character intros. From warp civilization equivalent to that of Vulcans in Star Trek and their ancestors ( in honour of Leonard Nimoy) who is supposed to become the consort to an Empress.

The original ending was in a different place and far more explosive which would have added another 10 pages to the final chapter. 


How hard was it to cut out the deleted scenes and was it harder with any specific ones?

The first deleted scene was far more challenging for me than the second one, and the character (Ardan) had been more elaborated. In the second deleted scene, I'm saddened that I didn't get enough time to show the sisters ultimate powers. 


If you could go back and change things would you leave any of the deleted scenes in?

I definitely would add an extra 10 to 20 pages as I have written a set of backstories for the character that didn't have a chance to shine.

AUTHOR INTERVIEW A little introduction: I’m Claude Bouchard, born, raised, and still living in the Montreal (Canada) area. In a prior life, I worked in the corporate world, mainly in human resources management.
