Book interview - My Father's Ghost Hates Cats by Nolcha Fox
Please tell us a little about the book
It’s a quirky little book of poetry.
Where did the inspiration come from for your book?
Family (two- and four-footed), love, death,
life experiences (including dressing myself), and spirituality.
How did you find the experience of writing this book?
I didn’t write poetry to write a book. My
friend, who kicked me in the butt to write poetry, decided to self-publish a
poetry book. We talked about what she was doing, and when I looked at my folder
of published and unpublished poems, I realized I had enough to put together a
book, too. But I’m lazy and cheap, so I decided to find a publisher to do the
work for me. About a week after I sent the manuscript to Alien Buddha Press,
Red contacted me to let me know he wanted to publish it.
Did you draw any inspiration from any real life people with any of your characters?
N/A
If you could say anything to readers of this book then what would it be?
Laugh and love every day.
Are there plans for more from these characters, or is it a stand alone piece?
N/A
Where can we purchase your book?
Please tell us where readers can connect with you and find out about any new book releases too.
