A little introduction:

Bhoj Kumar Dhamala (Nepal) is M.A, M.Phil in English Literature. He is a leading educationist, lecturer in English for undergraduate students, and the Founder Principal of Zone Academy Boarding School, Boudha, Kathmandu. He has published his articles and poems in different national and international media/journals. He is passionate about writing for social causes. He writes less but what he writes is always meaningful. He believes one cannot be the writer just jotting down the words. He is the published author of the poetry anthology “The Selfish City.” He is a social activist too and has been supporting Anirudra Memorial Geriatric Home, Okhaldhunga, Nepal, as Vice- Chairman.

Some of his poems have been published from the USA, India, Nijeria, and Bangaladesh. He does freelance journalism apart from writing poems.

When did your love of books begin?

His fascination with books began when he was five. He was inspired to read the books by his creative and supportive father.

When did you start to have the wish to become an author?

It was just four years back, when one of my friends saw the manuscript of my book, he indirectly forced me to be the author of the book.

How have you found the process for becoming an author?

Some believe, being an author is thrilling, but what Mr. Dhamala thinks is, one needs to understand his ground and must be able to respect the audiences with the artistic work. He believes in the power of the language delivered and written.

What would you say to those wanting to become an author?

Writing is not only fun, it’s all about expressing yourself. Having written a few stories and any genre of literature does not make you the author. The power of your writing must make an imprint to your wide range of audiences.

Tell us about your book/books:

Mr. Dhamala has recently published an anthology “The Selfish City” which includes fifty four poems. Writing is an endless journey and once you fall in love with it you cannot isolate yourself from craving new work. The same is manifested in the form of poems. Each poem, in the book, is a reflection of his subtle and prickly experience of the human world.

If you could say anything to your readers what would it be?

Almost all the books have some information, find your selection and stick to the world of literature.
