Olena Nikitin interview

AUTHOR INTERVIEW

A little introduction:

Olena Nikitin is our pen name. We are an enthusiastic couple of writers fascinated by the fantasy/paranormal romance genre and decided to write a book we would love to read.

Behind the Pen name:

Olga – is Polish, armed with a wicked sense of humour and typical Slavic pessimism she is the wicked witch from the East. She has written stories since childhood, initially mostly about her work. As an emergency physician, she always has a story to tell and often not much time to write.

Mark is a typical English gentleman whose charm, refined taste and an impressive collection of books were tempting enough to make Olga leave her homeland. Don’t tease him too much; this man has an impressive sword collection, and he knows how to use it. He also can fix everything, including Polish syntax in English writing.

When did your love of books begin?

Hard to remember. Both Mar and I are book nerds and love to read for hours.

When did you start to have the wish to become an author?

Well, that is funny. On the first of January, I woke up and decided we were going to write a book because I couldn’t find the one I crave to read, so we did.

How have you found the process for becoming an author?

It was a learning curve for us but an enjoyable one.

What would you say to those wanting to become an author?

Write to your heart’s content. Keep being consistent and revise, revise, revise.

Tell us about your book/books:

We are publishing our short story, A Little Accident, this Sunday, the twenty-fourth of April. It is the prequel to the main four-book series titled Season’s war. In September, we aim to post the first book of this series titled AUTUMN CHAOS. Our style is a humorous fantasy with a mix of steamy romance, epic battles and mystery to solve, and we are hoping this life-like mixture will appear to an adult audience.

What do you love about the writing/reading community?

The way we help each other get better, reach more people and hold to our craft when writers’ block or life circumstances weigh us down.

If you could say anything to your readers what would it be?

Please have fun. We love to make you laugh, and just like our heroes, no matter the circumstances, keep calm and carry on. Even the worst moments eventually become something you can laugh over with your friends.

Where can people connect with you?
