AUTHOR INTERVIEW

When did your love of books begin?

I started reading in first grade. I read so many books so quickly that I had to leave during our reading class and go to second grade reading.

When did you start to have the wish to become an author?

I was in third grade when I realized I wanted to be an author. We were required to write a short story (for a contest), about what we would do if we were stranded on a desert island, it was supposed to be at least one page. I wrote four pages and won the contest. I was hooked.

How have you found the process for becoming an author?

It has been hard for me to become an Author. I have what they call imposter syndrome. I was too afraid to publish my book, because I never thought it was good enough. I envisioned people laughing at me and calling me a fraud. What made me decide to do it is, I am turning 40 soon. I wanted to have some kind of accomplishment in my life. Something I could be proud of, before I hit the big 4-0. SO, I finally went to Amazon and submitted it for publishing. Amazon was easy peasy.  Now there have been bumps in the road, I took it down to have it professionally edited, and change the cover I made to a professional one. I have recently found out the cover I purchased has been used on many different books, so I will be changing it again.

What would you say to those wanting to become an author?

Do it, just do it. You are good enough, and the story inside you needs to be told. Join a writing community, they are invaluable, start advertising early. Make sure your book is professionally edited and be very careful with the cover. It is the first thing the reader sees. You want it to be unique, and you want it to catch the eye. Have fun, you are living your dream!

Tell us about your book/books:

The blurb tells it better rhan I could at this point. I will tell you the whole story.

Treacherous fae, despicable demons, different dimensions, and a broken fae who is destined to die.

Geneve loves her glamorous life as a fae spent every day in the arms of her twin flame, Talon-until her mother’s treasonous acts force her to be banished to the human realm.

Her mother's betrayal puts her on a path of revenge. Thirsty for power and control of her life, Geneve builds her own army, her heart now black with evil.

Meanwhile, in an alternate universe, Alizeh is called upon by a powerful warlock to accept her powers and realize her destiny—to overthrow the evil Queen Geneve.

With everything at odds, it seems there will be only one winner—Alizeh and her motley team of witches, or Geneve and her vast army.

Sometimes self-sacrifice is the only way to make things right and to save the ones you love.

What do you love about the writing/reading community?

The writing community has been invaluable to me. I could not have done this without them. They have been there to answer questions, to bounce ideas off, and to provide me support like I have never had in any other community. I am eternally grateful for the writer’s community.

If you could say anything to your readers what would it be?

Thank you, thank you, thank you, so much- for deciding to join me in my magical universe. I have spent so much time, living there, that my characters feel real to me. This is a rather short story, but the next one is going to be much longer, and you will get to know the characters even better. I am so very grateful for each and every person who has purchased or read my book. I love feedback, and reviews are always appreciated, but not required.
