Review:

Children's books are sometimes a bit of a minefield as you are going to be reading something which is aimed at younger readers and so it can be difficult to judge them fairly however this book was one I found to be a well written piece that I enjoyed.  Imagine all different animals living in a forest where human garbage like old mobile phones are littering the ground but the animals have adjusted their ways and chat with each other about their lives.  This book is a short series of their tales they tell each other but are they tall tales or simply the animals having had amazing experiences?  Sitting around and having those human style interactions creates a loveable story that works well and is a simple yet enjoyable read.

I would imagine younger children around 10 would love this style of story and being a World Book Day offering means your younger reader could dip their toe and see how they find this author.
