Book interview - The Altar From Space by Radar DeBoard

Where did the inspiration come from for your book?

A lot of different places. I suppose I would say mostly: John Carpenter's The Thing, Dead Space, Event Horizon, and Resident Evil 4.

How did you find the experience of writing this book?

The first chapter was a bit of a tough one to get set up, but once I started introducing all the creatures, it was a blast!

Did you draw any inspiration from any real life people with any of your characters?

Surprisingly, no. I wanted to write characters that were competent and capable, but based on the situation they are in, there wasn't much in my life to base them off of.

If you could say anything to readers of this  book then what would it be?

Thank you so much for reading the book. Please, please leave a review! That's the best way you can help the book gain visibility.

Are there plans for more from these characters, or is it a stand alone piece?

For sure! The sequel is already with the editor and I'm starting my first draft of the third book in the series.
