Book review - The Paddington Incident by Andy Darby

Review:

This book is a free download you can get if you signup for the newsletter from Andy Darby and so having read the first book in the series (Me and The Monkey - Chronicles of The Monkey God book 1) and discovering this prequel I decided to go for it.

The book is set in a time long before the first book in the series and sees The Monkey in a job based around security (kind of makes sense with his love of weapons) and helping to keep the Queen and her country safe from danger but when unusual activity appears to be occurring can The Monkey alongside a sidekick police officer really help to save people from disaster?

I enjoyed this prequel but found it to be a little less zany than the first book in the series and found myself missing that a bit.  The book download is a PDF and when I converted it for my kindle I did find it appeared there were some editing issues (words put together, names separated, etc) but I put this down to how the file converted rather than the author.

If you have read the first in the series then this is well worth checking out, if you haven't read the first in the series then this is a very little dip of your toes but not as good as what you will find with the first book over this prequel.
