Book review - The General's Wrath and Other Short Stories by Laura Austin

Book - The General's Wrath and Other Short Stories

Review:

This book has five short stories contained and for the first time in a number of years I have read a collection of short stories and walked away having enjoyed each one fully.  The depth of character, the descriptiveness and the overall story telling that Laura Austin manages to create within a short story is truly impressive and for me makes her a hugely exciting author who is very much worth monitoring as I know there is much more to come from her.

The other thing I love about this is that each story is very much different from the last one so that it doesn't feel like the author has had one idea and tried to simply spin that out over a number of stories and so even if you were to find one not to be to your taste then the others are each so different that you are likely to find some enjoyment from this book.
