When did your love of books begin?

I don’t have of books. I was encouraged to write my book because there was nothing in the books I found to explain what was happening to me. So I thought I should write one.


When did you start to have the wish to become an author?

When my doctor called me from the Denver airport in 1988 and told me to publish my letters into a book.


How have you found the process for becoming an author?

Difficult. A lot of overwhelming emotions like excitement, anxiety, pride, and vulnerability


What would you say to those wanting to become an author?

Be patient. Pray a lot, It is not a quick process, but it is worth it.


Tell us about your book/books:

Paralyzed Emotions is a deeply personal work sharing letters revealing years of psychological torment written to my psychiatrist as I suffered through breakdowns, severe chemical treatments, and repeated psychological crises. I share my journey with the hope that my experience can help others overcome their own mental health challenges.



What do you love about the writing/reading community?

I love how openly supportive that they are to each other. I feel so comfortable sharing my personal story.


If you could say anything to your readers what would it be?

I really hope that my readers to understanding. From someone who is going through it, to someone they love going through it, to someone treating someone going through it.
