Tony DiGerolamo interview

AUTHOR INTERVIEW

When did your love of books begin?

I read the Mouse and the Motorcycle.

When did you start to have the wish to become an author?

In the first grade, the school offered a free McDonald's hamburger as a prize for a short story contest. I kept winning each month until the school asked me not to enter so one of the other kids could win.

How have you found the process for becoming an author?

Not sure I understand this question, but being an author is great. Being broke, not so much. You have to want to be a writer very, very badly. Most people don't want to be a writer, they just want to have book signings and have everyone say that they're clever.

What would you say to those wanting to become an author?

Do you hate money that much?  If you want to write, read GOOD books. Classics. Reading a bunch of fan fic or YA nonsense is not going to help you much. Reach challenging fare.

Tell us about your book/books:

My current novella series is called The Pineys and I'm up to seven books (three more coming out in 2022). Set in the Pine Barrens of South Jersey, the stories center around a group of hunters that have been hunting the kin of the Jersey Devil for over 250 years. It's comedy/horror with a South Jersey flare. It's kind of like a hillbilly version of Ghostbusters.

What do you love about the writing/reading community?

That they buy my books!

If you could say anything to your readers what would it be?

Thanks for your support! Also, stop by my various websites.

Where can people connect with you?
