When did your love of books begin?

When I was very young. Some of my first memories are of reading. Remember the Pat the Bunny book?  And then the Little Golden Books?  I loved them all.


When did you start to have the wish to become an author?

I've always enjoyed writing, but I'm not sure when the desire to write books began.  I decided to actually do it when there was something very important that I wanted to say, a message that I urgently wanted people to get. Since I'm weird and kinky, I wrapped it in erotica.


How have you found the process for becoming an author?

Writing the book is easy. Marketing it is difficult.


What would you say to those wanting to become an author?

You have nothing to lose but the time you invest. If you enjoy writing, it's time well spent.


Tell us about your book/books:

I write plot-driven erotic fiction.  My books are suspense, romance, or mysteries, but with lots of very hot, very explicit sex. The plots are dark and twisty, just like me. 


What do you love about the writing/reading community?

They're very supportive of each other. Most of them are very genuine and very kind. Many are wickedly funny.  They're the kind of people you would want in your non-virtual life.


If you could say anything to your readers what would it be?

Thank you for reading my books. I hope you love them.  I hope they are a doorway to another place into which you can disappear for a while.

AUTHOR INTERVIEW A little introduction: I’m Claude Bouchard, born, raised, and still living in the Montreal (Canada) area. In a prior life, I worked in the corporate world, mainly in human resources management. In 2008, my employer moved our jobs to India and, while I pursued other employment, I published three books I had written long before then continued to write and publish more. Along the way, I realized I had a new job, that of author, and never looked back.  When did your love of books begin? While in kindergarten, my parents had signed me up for a book of the month thing and I remember the excitement whenever a new book showed up in the mail.
