Review:

After having discovered his powers and got the girl Jeff (also known as Polar) has managed to balance the world so that there are no longer super-villains or super-heroes but instead just supers but when he finds himself being ignored by his girlfriend Oceanus and noticing weird things happening around him he has to wonder what is going on. When Oceanus is taken by Mystic (a former super-villain) Jeff must find Oceanus and discover why she was taken but can he work with the only super who will help, Set (Oceanus' ex-boyfriend) and find out what exactly is going on before all is too late?

First off I love Kai Strand and her writing style as she has a great flow to her work that makes you want to read on. With this book I was once again impressed by the character work and the fact that each character does feel individual (something you don't always find with super-hero style books). The story was good and did keep me interested although out of the 2 books I preferred King of Bad (I think this is more so due to the fact the super-heroes and super-villains thing was still in place during that book) but I did find it an interesting take on things as you find those who previously wanted to help people not interested and those who previously wanted to do villainous things not care either.

This is another good book from Kai Strand and one I would recommend reading. The super-heroes/super-villains all becoming just supers was something different and a little weird but this will make the book stand out so give it a try.
