Review:

This was my first experience of reading a work by Sharon Sant and I'm pleased to say it won't be my last one 😀

The Memory Game is a story which follows the death of 15 year old David who is killed in a hit and run accident. Following his death he hasn't moved on and is still wandering the streets and so he has to question what he is meant to be doing and what happens next following the accident. Things change for David when an outcast from his school named Bethany sees him and he discovers that she can see him and they can interact, but what is the meaning of him having this contact with someone he never got on with when he was alive?

This is a brilliantly written story which draws the reader in and takes them on a journey with David as he tries to figure out why he hasn't moved on fully and what moving on fully actually means. Whilst David can see everyone who he knew in life and the things that are happening to them only Bethany is able to see and communicate with him following his death. David needs to try to decide what this all means so he can fulfil whatever he needs to so he can finally be at peace and move on to whatever death has in store for him.
