A little introduction: 

I am Isra, I live in the UK. I write dark fantasy novels with a twist of fairytale and paranormal. I live in the UK with my cats. I specialise in villains and dragons are my forte.


When did your love of books begin?

I have always loved fantasy books since a very young child.


When did you start to have the wish to become an author?

I am not entirely sure when it started but it was an interest I had from a young age.




How have you found the process for becoming an author?

It's not as hard as people make out although some people have limitations. Such as finances etc that prevents them from shaping their product up to industry standards. I would say publishing is easy but may be daunting at first.



What would you say to those wanting to become an author?

Do your research. Look out for vanity presses who will offer you the world in order to publish your books. Again research, research. Iron out the kinks. Look into it again.

A feisty dark fantasy adventure. It has been compared by readers to Disney and Grimms. So if you like a concept featuring witches, warlocks, angels, demons, with some other magical characters making an appearance such as dragons, fairies, unicorns, gnomes, light-bringers then the Dark Spell series is for you. What do you love about the writing/reading community?

The writing/ reading community is vast and interesting but mostly people support eachother.

AUTHOR INTERVIEW A little introduction: I’m Claude Bouchard, born, raised, and still living in the Montreal (Canada) area. In a prior life, I worked in the corporate world, mainly in human resources management. In 2008, my employer moved our jobs to India and, while I pursued other employment, I published three books I had written long before then continued to write and publish more. Along the way, I realized I had a new job, that of author, and never looked back.  When did your love of books begin? While in kindergarten, my parents had signed me up for a book of the month thing and I remember the excitement whenever a new book showed up in the mail.
